Law360, New York (June 17, 2009) -- Asbestos defendants have seen a drop in claims and indemnity payments, as well as an increase in dismissal rates, in recent years as tort reform and investigations into the quality of medical evidence have impacted the litigation landscape, according to a report from NERA Economic Consulting.
